Do Humans Ever Hurt Dolphins?
By Jordan

Have you ever gone out fishing and caught a dolphin and wondered if you were hurting it? Well after you read this article, you will find out. Yes humans do hurt dolphins. Some people hurt dolphins because they think dolphins are harmful, and others because sometimes when you go out to fish in the sea and you try to catch tuna, a dolphin will swim by and get caught in the net. Over 7 million dolphins have died because of that. People just don’t understand that dolphins are not harmful and should not be harmed.

Another way to hurt dolphins, but not kill them, is with loud noise. If you’re a construction worker who is building something using drills and power tools, you can hurt a dolphin by making it hard for them to communicate with others, to find food, and to know where their predators are. Another problem with humans hurting dolphins is that humans take dolphins into labs and do experiments on them.

Sometimes human starve dolphins because when they go fishing, they take the dolphin’s food away. There are “swimming fishes,” like from “finding Nemo.” Now I’m very sorry to say, this but you know how when your little five year old kid goes and plays in the water at the beach and swims around and goes potty in the water? This waste flows out to the sea where the dolphins live, and it’s not good for them to live in sewage. Also if you spray some cologne a.k.a perfume and you go in the water and swim in the ocean, all of the perfume chemicals go all the way out to where the dolphins live and that is also bad. Now the last thing I have to say is that people need to look where they are going when they are driving a boat in the sea because dolphins have died because of boats running over dolphins. Now the last thing I really have to say is that I really don’t know why we are hurting dolphins because we are mammals, just like them, so it’s like were hurting our own race. Well I hope you learned a lot from this article and try to not hurt dolphins if you are. If you aren’t, then just keep doing good for dolphins like you have been by not hurting them. Well that’s all I have to tell you. Thank you for listening.
