How to Train a Police Dog
by Jaritza

Do you want to learn how to train a police dog? Well, in an article that I read, I
learned that 5 minutes of quality training is better than 5 hours of just “going
through the motions.” Five minutes is more important than five hours because after
five minutes, a dog begins thinking of something else, like the ball that he could be
chasing. My article will give you even more information about some ways to train a
police dog.

Dog training is divided into two group: initial and in-service training. Initial
training starts when a person and a dog are chosen for dog training, and ends when
they are chosen to do their first assignment. In-service training begins after you
finish initial training and lasts until you retire.

Another important thing for police dog training is the dog handler. A dog
handler is a person who handles a dog for a lifetime. Another important thing is a
dog administrator. A dog administrator is a person who takes care of the dog and
trains them and all that stuff. That is how you train a police dog.
