Liger By: Patrick

Ligers are a mix between a lion and a tiger.
They are bigger than your average big cat. They
say that the lion males get along with the tiger
females, and then they mate and have big brown
babies. But have you ever wondered if Ligers are
found in the wild?
Do Ligers live in the wild…? No. If they did,
most of their babies would have a low chance of
living because most of them are not healthy.
They couldn’t even meet in the wild because they

live very far away from one another. Lions
live in Africa while Tigers live in southern
Asia. Most Ligers are in captivity in the zoo
or in lion sanctuaries. Their having babies usually
happens by accident when they are put in the same
enclosure and they happen to have babies. You may
think that ligers are not real, but they are. You
might have never thought of it as being true,
but it is.
