The Difference between Mars and Earth
By: Lawrencia

Mars’ Weight: If you went to Mars you would weigh one 1/3 of what you already
weigh. For example, Mr. Hawkins weighs about 230 LBS on Earth, but if he were on Mars,
he would weigh about 90 lbs. You would weigh 1/3 of what you are because Mars is less
dense than Earth, and so it has less gravity. That is crazy!

Earth’s Weight: Earth’s weight is different. Since we have more gravity we weigh more.

Mars’ Temperature: In the daytime, Mars is about 80 Fahrenheit on a summer day.

Earth: Now, here in Wisconsin an average temperature for a summer day is about 65
degrees Fahrenheit.

Mars’ Atmosphere: Mars’ atmosphere is made out of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and a small
amount of oxygen.

Earth’s Atmosphere: Earths atmosphere is made out of Nitrogen and a lot of oxygen.
